And then I started adding other Power Platform tools. Then I became involved with Azure Cognitive Services, and I became more of a cloud advocate and started working with Power Automate and Power Apps. Then I started getting more and more involved in process automation with a focus on trying to solve problems with artificial intelligence. Then we started moving to the cloud, so Office 365 and SharePoint online. I started out working with SharePoint as a SharePoint developer and then I became a SharePoint solution architect and consultant. Rostan: I've been involved with Microsoft technology for about the past 14+ years. MSDW: Can you tell us about your career evolution? Rostan spoke with us about the evolution of his work with Microsoft technologies and his community involvement. They started the process, and here I am with my family," he explained. I thought they wanted me to work remotely but they said that I should move to Canada. "Slalom called me and said they wanted me to work for them. Before joining Slalom in April 2022, he had held a range of positions over the previous few years with other firms. Originally from Uruguay, Rostan is currently working at Slalom Consulting's Toronto office leading the Canada Power Platform practice for Slalom's Microsoft Center of Excellence. "It's an honor to be recognized as an MVP, because it's a recognition for my engagement with the community,” says Rostan, who received his MVP award in 2020 for his work in the Power Platform community. For Alex Rostan, a Microsoft MVP isn't someone who knows more than others, but someone who knows and shares more with others.
